I just pulled the rods out of my engine and i noticed that the crank has some scores in it; deep enough that i can feel them with my fingernail. i am assuming that this means that the crank would need to be cut; am i correct in thinking this? if i am correct in thinking this that also means that the crank is basically garbage then for a high hp motor, right? so i guess if i am thinking correctly (and im pretty sure i am), i am in need of a good 6 bolt turbo crank; so if anyone has one, please let me know. thanks in advance guys.

Why do you have a Dodge Colt in your vehicle profile? Please update that so we can get an idea. So, I can extrapolate it's a 2g turbo.

I would take it to a reputable machine shop and let them do the machine work as far as grinding and installing proper bearings.

Or, you can get a 1g 6 bolt block and using the forums set it up properly.

Good Luck

i would say that the crank is pretty much garbage because if it needs to be cut you will be taking off the nitrate coding and it will weaken the crank ... so id go with the 6 bolt for yur high horsepower buildup
