Just wanted to know your thoughts on this kit, I am planning on driving mostly on the street while going to the track probably twice a month when its warm. Would this be a good kit for me or will i have some sort of problems. I would also like to know if my engine will last with this kit. I have a experienced engine builder helping me out but he does not know much about DSM's. I am planning on also running a 60-1 and hoping to run into the 11's. Any comments concerns or just info you think I should know feel free to speak out.

(I plan on going with the Manley rods)
Kit Includes:

Custom SBR Pro-Billet Aluminum Rods Or Manley Rods (YOUR CHOICE)
Custom SBR racing pistons ( big shot of nitrous welcome, lots of boost etc... They'll Love It! )
Clevite Main Bearings
Clevite Rod Bearings
New 4G64 crank

Please no flaming just want to know if this is a decent setup and somewhat reliable and I do realize I will need other supporting mods to go into the 11's.

I did do a search but found no info on this specific kit.

Thanks for the info/help

Justin

You can buy that all seperately and save yourself some money. You may want to take a look at what magnus has to offer. Get the crank from mitsu and pickup the bearings from autozone for 60 bucks.
You'll find yourself saving quite a bit of money that could be spent on better machining, etc.

You don't need a 2.3 to run 11's, but if you insist on building a 2.3 then you may want to look into cheaper rods. Manley is overkill for what you are looking to accomplish.
Hope that helps.

thanx for the info... I was mostly getting it all in a kit because its easy... I would probably be ordering a few other things from them at the same time. The reason for the manley rods is because the faster I get the Faster i will want to be, so i figure if i am goin to do it i mite as well do it good... U think this setup would be reliable? as far as the engine goes?

Well I can't comment on the kit but would like you to keep us posted on how the build goes. I am going to be doing a 2.3 also in the future. (Just need to do a couple more supporting mods first.)

So all the feedback you can give will be much appreciated.

when I finaly do it I will make sure to take lots of pictures for you
