Darren has always built all his motors right there in his shop. When ffwd was first starting out he did use some of bj's heads, but that was all. And that was because before he started doing his own heads he wanted to make sure they were the same quality as his motors. He soon honed his skills and has done his own heads ever since. I wish people wouldnt spout things like this off unless they know for certain for them to be true. Darren has worked very hard to establish a good reputation. He is a decent honest guy and the craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into his motors is second to none. Comments like that undermine his reputation and credibility. Afterall would you feel comfortable buying a motor from a shop, with the understanding that they were building it for you to fit your needs and then hearing they werent even the ones that built it. Well like I said that has never been true. I wont trust my dsm with anyone but darren
Ive heard this is a great shop, how do they stack up against other builders mentioned?greathuskie said:you guys are forgetting about FRH
gixrman said:The only argument for cryo-treating the head would be to help strenghten it agianst warpage under extremelly high boost. But like you stated I don't see any real world advantage for this.
Also JAM CNC ports there heads which means you now have uniformed matching ports that should flow the same across the board.
pic. of 2g port job.

But they don't offer any flow #s which if I was trying to sell something like this I would have some sort of data stating so.
