after i installed my fmic on my 2g the very bottom of my bumper is sagging right in the middle and its just doesnt look nice is there anyway to fix this? i was thinking maybe i need to trim the bumper a little more to have it fit better it does look like the bumper is pushing up on the fmic..

I'm also interested in a solution to this, my car isn't too bad but it's starting to get a slight sag at the bottom of the opening in the front end.

Cut it up.are you talking about the very bottom? Do you have the thin metal strip that runs along the very bottom of the bumper on?

not sure but ill check i just noticed its actually like pushing down on it at the corners of the core so its making the middle push out making it look like its sagging! i have the punishment ic but i installed it without useing the round spacer looking things was i suppose to use them that would raise the core up!

95gst16g is right. The metal strip in between the bumper if put on correctly should solve the gap issue.

I had the same issue. The OEM metal support that runs inside the bumper did not fit under the intercooler so i removed it - this caused the center to sag. The solution was to trim the top of the oem metal support, so the front ( where it is bent in a "L" shape was lower, now it fit under the intercooler. ) Once reinstalled it, it fixed the bumper sag - i even bent it up a little bit, now the bumper is back to normal height. - hope that helps

I have a similar problem with my 1G, the bottom lip sags down. I have the metal bar behind it, but it appears to be snapped right dead on in the center. Could that be the reason it's sagging in the middle?

Could be.probably is if you just noticed ot started sagging and the support is broke.
