Safc2 not registering settings?

Ok so my safc2 works to a certain point , i can change my a/f, in example adjusting at idle normally around 15.2-15.4 area, i wanna richen it up to like 14.9 and can add like 5% and it will go to 14.9 and stay there for like 5 sec. then just goes right back up to 15.3 and stays there.

Could this be possible from your injectors being maxed out? If your running 450's they are on the edge of maxed out from the factory from what I've read. A set or evo 560's for 100 bucks would yield you a lot more tuning room.

You can't change your AFR at idle. Whenever you are at idle or cruising under light throttle the ECU is in closedloop mode, where it watches the O2 sensor and corrects the AFR itself. If you aren't watching your fueltrims while tuning the AFC LOW settings, you are just fighting the ECU and getting nowhere. You don't tune for a 14.7 AFR at idle, you tune for a zero fueltrim.
