safc2 knock

I have a 2g with 16g turbo and safc2.I have knock montior on and it reads 0 in the am and as the outside temps warm up the knock # increases..Is it true that on a 2g there is no good way to measure knock with safc2? Is it just a Bull Shi@ MONITOR for knock?

Well, it makes sense that as the outside temps warm up, your intake air temp will increase, thus increasing knock, so it sounds like the knock monitor is decently accurate. Do you know how the SAFC measures knock? Because, if it just plugs into the ECU and shows you that reading, its just as accurate as any pocketlogger.

The AFC on the 2g can not read any usable data from the ECU and knock sensor. Best bet is to get the DSMlink.....best money I have spent yet.
