I just installed my safc2 about 3 hours ago and after i got everything hooked up i tried to start my car and nothing. no juice at all, no power windows or locks, NOTHING. So i took my battery to advance auto and had them test it and its good. I did have the battery disconneced when hooking up the safc2. I opened up my ecu to see if it was eprom or not while i was there, maybe static or something of the sort ruin the ecu? I did try to half a$$ it and used butt connectors for the install. Any help i tried to figure this out for 3 hours and nothing. I guess i will go solder the wires and see if that does anything.

Definatly a wiring problem. did you splice into the wire or cut it and connect it back together with but end connectors? Did you ground the SAFC correctly? I no long have the instructions nor a SAFC but you need to ground it acording to the instructions with one ground being before the other and the correct distance away from each other. I would check connections first before going to battery etc which likely worked before the install. Work back and confirm good connections and ground, you will find your problem there I think.

Yeah i cut the wires and then used the butt connectors to hook the wires back together with the safc. Yes i grounded the safc with the brown wire closer to the ecu than the black. Im going to soldier everthing right on monday since im busy tomorrow, hopefully that will do the trick because if not im stumped. With the battery disconnected there isnt anyway i could have messed up my ecu could have I?

Doubtful. You likely dont have a connection on the power wire. you should have just scraped away the insulation and soldered it instead of cutting but whats done is done. I personally think you problem lies with that wire.

You should solder the wires no matter what. You are talking about your ecu man. the best and quickest way to see if you killed the ecu would be disconnect the afc and see if it works. I just installed my afc neo a couple weeks ago without a hitch. but i soldered my wires and i'm an electronic engineer, so i'm pretty good at that kind of stuff. before you troubleshoot the wiring i would make sure that taking that component out of the loop makes the car work. if you take it out and the car runs, you know the afc is wired wrong. if you take it out and it still doesnt run you caused more problems than just the afc. good luck.
