Im about to install my SAFC2 into my 2g GST....Ive been looking on for instalation instruction and all of them seem to be different from eachother some leasve out wires ect....I have the black edition safc2 with 11 wires! purple, yellow, orange, blue, gray, brown. pink, green, white, red, and black. Let me know any good reliable links ive been on acouple that leave out half of the wires i have.

If your paying attention, you will be leaving off many wires because they don't really help and some can hurt.

The blue wire that some people connect to the O2 sensor can load the circuit down.
Same for the knock sensor wires and since it's doesn't tell you the same information as what the ECU considers knock it's questionable data anyway.

Then there are the wires for the other types of airflow sensors that you won't use.

When your done you'll see that your back to the same wires most of the sites tell you to connect.

well i am paying attention thank you! no need to be harsh over here......If you pay attention im just trying to get information so i can do this correctly. So alot of sites dont even tell me to use the brown wire pink ect... I already know about the blue wire not to use.. Why do they supply the knock wire if its not accurate??

Ok Anyone can help me out on this Link APEXi AFC Installation on 2G it says to use the yellow and whit wired and leaves out the orange and another wire BUT this is for the safc iduno if its diff then this link Super AFC II Install - My Pro Street leaves out the yellow and white wires and its a safc2 witch i have witch one do i follow i already know to leave out the BLUE and PURPLE i believe because of the knock sensor and blue wire not used.

Steve iduno what u meant?? LOL but listen man i know you know ## shyt help me out...I know what you mean about the wires and the knock and blue wire, but some sites istalling safc not safc2 and one site tells me not to you yellow and white other tells me to use it someone give me a reliable install

I don't get why this is so hard.

The VFAQ's, the SAFC manual, and the couple hundred posts here tell you what you need to know. I've now told you 3 times that all the other wires are unused.

Pink wire on AFC = airflow signal input from MAS to AFC
Orange wire on AFC = airflow signal output from AFC to the car's ECU
Green wire on AFC = engine RPM signal (use the Tach signal from the PTM back to the ECU shown below)
Brown wire on AFC = ground (closer to the ECU than the Black below))
Black wire on AFC = ground (must be the same ground that is used to ground the ECU to the car)
Red wire on AFC = main power to AFC unit
