Ok guys i need help on how to take of my stock fuel regulator and replace it with a guaged one that i can adjust. Steps? and how do i make sure its not gonna run to much psi throu the first time ### i don't know what it is adjusted at?

where is my fuel pump electrical connector i cant find it where they say it is in the book?

It's right at the cover of the fuel pump. In the trunk, driver's side, underneath the spare tire and boards. I'm assuming you're looking for it to disconnect to relieve fuel pressure.

To make sure your fuel pressure isn't too high when first installing it, you should have the AFPR set at the lowest setting first. It should all be explained in the provided link.

ya thats where they said it would be but it was under the car right outside the fuel tank! WTF! LOL the only other question i have is does the gauge have to be facing striaght up since it has liquid gel in my guage?

No the gauge should read upside down as well as right side up. If your going through all of the trouble of setting the initial FP by the jumper wire method you dont have to. Install the AFPR and set it to its lowest setting. Start the car assuming it will run on the low pressure. Turn off all accessories and adjust the regulator accordingly. The methods your performing are for checking FP on a stock setup.

The injectors are a basic solenoid. The more pressure applied at the rail the more fuel is dumped when the injector opens or "pulses" adding pressure is a way of bumping up the amount of fuel or decreasing the flow for tuning purposes. With the car at curb idle it isnt going to hurt anything to have it too high or too low.

ok so i ran into a problem that when i screw on the guage it doesnt screw in far enough so it doesnt leak. any ideas on how to test the pressure without a guage or how to get the right adjustment? Oh and i have it all hooked up so the car runs good tell i can get the right pressure. could there also be a problem since my car is having trouble starting up now?

ok so i got the guage on it without any leaks. and i adjusted it (without the vacume line) to 27psi then when i put the vacume line back on it stays the same. is it supposed to? ### i was reading that when you are at 5 pounds of boost it should be at like high 40's?

Base fuel pressure for a 1G is 37psi with the vacuum line disconnected. When you reattach the vacuum line the fuel pressure will drop 1psi for every 2inHg of vacuum (eg-if your idle vacuum is 20inHg then the fuel pressure will drop 10psi to 27). Of course, when you get into boost the regulator will raise fuel pressure relative to boost at a 1:1 ratio.

Did you confirm that you have vacuum through the line by feeling with your fingertip?
