hey guys,

ive been researching, and a couple things are still hazy. like if i got a palm and the pocketlogger software, would that be all i need to control l;argher injectors and whatnot? i think not...like the datalogging this is just so you can get all the ecu info to you right? just so you can see everything happening. i would still need a safc for tuning and to control larger than stock injectors. and wbaou t the vpc, like...i guess i dont understand why people run both that andsafc, what does the vpc do with the safc? isnt it just another lioke injector control thing? thanks for your help. sorry for the noob questions.

Palm/Pocketlogger-Just viewing/troubleshooting purposes,as you stated

HKS Vpc-Allows the removal of the Mass air sensor , thus freeing up the intake air path and allowing you to vent the BOV

SAFC-A Air/Fuel controller which allows you to adjust fuel curve, etc. which HKS makes a version called GCC to be used with the VPC as well.

This is a blunt overview and im sure more detail can be added.

Just throwing another method of tuning out there...look into getting a GM MAF and a translator ($200) It costs about the same as an AFC and it removes the stock MAF and allows you to vent your BOV as well as providing better spool-up and a more accurate count of air.

If you really wanna go all out, get an EPROM ECU and have DSMLink installed. Its about $500 without the ECU, but it allows you to control almost everything your engine does. I'd start out with an AFC or MAFT.

I'm in Kalamazoo too, so if ya need help tuning, I've got a 2g logger and MAFT.
