safc and datalogger?

I was just wondering if i needed both, because wouldnt the safc show all the same data thanks for the help.

no, safc is a piggyback computer, it just modifies the signal to show more or less air going through. The pocketlogger is what you need to read your timing, o2's, and other data (knock if your a 1g). You need them both if you want to be able to tune. Tuning with just a SAFC is stupid and dangerous. However, if your just trying to get your fuel system together and are still on stock injectors, you can buy the safc, install it, and just leave everything zeroed out.

no you need the data logger to get yout timing and airflow to be able to tune the SAfc....you can use some of the initial setups in this thread liek i did -

you can look through there find your best matched setup and go from there...but i dont reccomend it unles its either on a dyno or you have a logger to se the effects adjustments on teh safc make int eh car

You need both.

S-AFC - To modify the fuel curves and other things.
Datalogger - To view the fuel curves as well as a few other awsome things.

Never try tuning without something to read and something to change. Tuning blind is definately dangerous.
