thanks guys for all the info :thumb:

im gettin AEM wideband pretty soon...well im ganna order it next week and im probablly ganna end up gettin that MS

but i have a question how hard is it ganna be to install ??? im guessing im ganna have to go get it tuned somehwere ?? and how big of injectors can i run wit it ?? and im guessing im ganna have to get a fuel rails since my stock one probablly wont cut it LOL

rstare im interested in that deal :p give me more details

With MS the skys the limit, And your stock fuel rail is fine til like 700hp ;)

Il let somebody else chime in on the other stuff...

Its the most user friendly.. Best? No, MS is the best. Problem with portfueler is it only controls fuel, Thats it. MS controls EVERYTHING including timing. With portfueler you cant run more than about 15psi with stock timing, Now you can us a MSD DIS2 to control timing while the portfueler is controlling fuel and then your set. So it depends on how crazy you want to go, But i still say MS.

do you know how much portfueler is ??

i donno portfueler sounds good to me since i dont know anyone who knows how to tune MS around here ( no performance shops ) like portfueler sounds simple to me like there is no tune just install set the idel and its good but MS you need bunch of sensors ans stuff i donno even know wut it comes wit LOL

Portfueler is like $1200? If i remember right... And yes it comes from hahn already tuned to your setup you just install it and go basically

oh ok and you said if i get MSD DIS2 for timing ill be straight with everything right ...

and since my motor is built ill good with running like 12-15 lbs daily with thats set up right ...

before u start getting ahead of yourself u wanna sit down and make realistic goals of what u want to accomplish and then make a build up plan based upon that, from there u find out which parts are best suited to your wants, otherwise you could end up spending 10second money for a 13 second car that breaks down every other day.

If you only want to run 12-15psi daily, And have the money, I say go with a portfueler and dont even worry about timing. Just dont run more than 15psi without a MSD DIS2.

Style; Diyautotune.com is where I got the quote from, he said it only lasted thirty days so if the price so don't quote me on the price.
As someone previously mentioned you need to set a realistic goal for yourself. Pounds of boost don't mean so much compared to the turbo. You need to set a goal so you can chose your turbo correctly so it's in the right efficency range. You can also then size up the right size injectors.
Read up on MS in the links I gave you.
Portfueler costs more and it can't do nearly what MS does, MS just takes alot more learning time.

i got garrett 60A/R turbo which i think is pretty good size turbo for wut i wanna do..and portfueler sounds good to me since it easy to install and its already tuned but MS is wut i would reli like to go with but i wont have anything to install it and tune is since we dont have any performance shops around here so i would just end up with something that working right...you know..

but wut you guys trully think about going with portfueler and MSD DIS2 for timing ??? i mean like Car_guy_09 said i can run 15lbs daily with stock timing and more if i get MSD is fine with me because the only time i would actually get on it would be at the track.. otherwise it would be just daily driven

I'm not telling you what to do I'm just giving you some input. View Profile: awddynamite - DSMtuners.com
He uses portfueler and msd and he has the most power for any 420a on this forum. (Zero's isn't complete yet, so I'm not counting it)
You can try pushing boost (what really matters is the turbo) but on stock timing you can only go so far. Ask 1slow97 and ivan300 how there experience with that went. Both demolished their pistons due to knock.

Car_Guy:
Why are you running such low comp pistons? It seems almost pointless to me unless you plan on running around 35+ PSI in the future...

OP:
I was running 17 PSI on a t3/t4e 50 trim on stock timing with the Portfueler for over a year (before my trans broke).

Don't forget Crab knocking on awddynamites door at 11.3's I'm sure he's close in power. I also suspect Mr. Bullett to be making his way down to those times before long. I know Mark uses MS, I can't remember what Crab uses.

so my friend just told me i would have to still do a little bit of tunning on my turbo set up since im not using Hahn turbo kit.. he also got a 420A turbo and we have same set up

Depending on your fuel setup. If you just have a fmu hooked up then your friend is wrong. If you have larger than stock injectors and a rising rate FPR such as the cartech or vortech sfmu, there is some slight 'tuning' (I'm using that word loosely) to be done

yeah i got stock injectors and FMU thats about it.. well in fuelpump ...and thats wut the hahn told him when he called them up ..just small tune :D

but in january ill have the msd portfueler and wideband :thumb: so cant wait to be done with fuel system LOL

yeah there's zero tuning to be done with that

oh ok then haha but i still need lower my fuel pressure tho its way too high 70 psi at idle :( no good LOL

That is high. Do you possibly have a pinch in your vac line to the fmu? If I remember correctly that could cause high fuel pressures. Hahn recommends 47-55psi at idle I know I ran 60psi at idle on my stock injectors with the sfmu.
