I have an safc 1 rigth now and I dont really like it. i want to get dsm link lite version. i have everything up to date on my car. I dont like how when ib start my car the idle goes up and down like crazy with the safc. i need advice on how set the idle with the safc.im not 100 percent sure what injectors i have but i think ther 450cc.

Honestly the SAFC is not worth it at all when you have DSMLINK available for close to the same price. Its a lot easier to tune and you have more options with dsmlink I would honestly recommend looking into getting that because all the SAFC does is trick your ecu to account for different injectors and what not

Isn't DSMlink 500+ and SAFCI 100$? That's not the same :p It depends what you want to do. If you just want to play with 650cc injectors at most, you can pull it off with the SAFC. All and all it depends what your goals are and whether you see yourself upgrading later on.

Also if you have 450 those are stock, shouldn't the SAFC be zeroed on all options since it's stock spec?

I was close to doing the same. I bought a second eclipse that already had a SAFCII and a AVC-R in it and was planning on swapping it to my car since It didn't really effect me. But from the reading I have done its not even worth it compared to DSMLINK the options and tunability that your receive with it is way better than those

Well I don't know about SAFC but the SAFCII is around 250 used

Dsmlink is hands down. I've had it from 200 horsepower upto 500 now going to shoot for 700 with it. If you don't know what you are doing I recommend having a pro tune it so you don't mess anything up on the car and get max potential.

dsmlink all the way but if you don't know what you do it could be a PITA. Ask a pro to tune it if you're not sure!!

Safc2 s go for 150 all day long. Link is 500$+ so id hardly say they are the same price. As far as tuning goes if you can afford link then go for it. You wont regret it. Don't forget you'll also need a wideband.

Just remember there is a learning curve for using any tuning system. V3 is a great option, I have it and love it, but be patient and willing to learn if you get it, don't expect to just plug it in a go.

Really the size fuel injectors you want to be using would be a deciding factor. 680's and lower you can stick with the basic SAFC and save some money. If you want bigger injectors then that then save up for v3.

Might be hard to do that, being that they aren't a proven member... . An based off that fact it looks as they just made an new account to get out of there new title for the other account. I'd say it's safe to say 30 Quality post are gonna take a while... Sorry OP truth hurts.

The problem with safc is the lack of timing adjustments.

That and when you pull fuel out of the mapping the computer will equate this to less air flow and then add ignition advance in an area you may not want it, although this is part of the reason the AFC can net the gains it does on the dyno on vehicles with basicly stock hard ware and a bump in boost....

Depending on how aggressive your set up is though,it can also equate to a mushroom cloud forming under your hood LOL......

I've been running DSMLink in my car since about three months after I got it. Granted, my car is still mainly stock, but I do intend on doing more work to it in time and when money permits. It has a load of features and I enjoy the functionality of it overall.
