I was definitely in the wrong place parked over there by the hon duh's n others in the "Car Show":coy:. Just supporting a buddy of mine is all. This too was my first time to any track and even though I didn't run it was nice watching you guys run and learning some more about the track rules n how it all works. It was great meeting new faces as well not to mention Luda:D LOL.. However, I have to put you all on blast for not calling me over when you guys took them group pictures, thats a no-go in my station:nono: LOL. its all good just don't let it happen again:p

Like others have mentioned, hopefully we can get together a few more times before the summer ends somewhere in the middle of Sac and San Jo so everyone in between can show up. It would be nice to have say at least 30+ DSM's to do a BBQ and swap meet or something. There are still plenty DSM'rs that weren't even there so that number should be met easily. Wishful thinking :shhh:

+1 thanks for sharing the vids and pics :hellyeah:

So what ended up being the best et/mph for the day Ted?

And anyone know what happened to Jason?

9.72@135. We were heatsoaking in the lanes with all the shuffling and ladder issues in the staging lanes. The car didnt like it at all, but I figure might as well stay in it and go home.

Jason popped a freeze plug out on the side of the block, not the one we put in at the shop...another one. Luckily he is safe cause it really could have ended worse. Coolant sprayed all over the passenger side tires and well....from what was explained by him...things could have gotten real bad real fast.

OMG Damn he has the worst of luck thank goodness nothing happened!

Good stuff i'm glad they didn't hassle ya this time nice ET i heard it was a little bit of a cluster-F again i'm amazed they don't have things flowing more smoothly but whatever at least we have a race to attend.

What kinda IAT's are you seeing in high gear would be nice to compare.

I'm sure it was toasty out there :p

Thanks for the hotdog too. Though I did bring a couple cases of water, I didn't want to be a freeloader. Probably should have brought some other stuff... thanks for welcoming me in.

I think the website suffices as your contribution.

I don't think it was intentional, we walked over there and I was surprised to see everyone lining up. I noticed the english racing guys weren't over there and asked them to line up too. It was cool of them to do that, they were super cool the whole day talking to everyone and sharing info. I thought about going over there and asking you to bring your car, but I had just been over there 20 minutes ago looking at your car and didn't see you there, plus I didn't know what you looked like or who you were.

Those types of meets are hard because people show up with other car groups/cultures. I think we should get the stinson beach meet going again, those types of meets most everyone is a dsm'er and its a lot easier to meet everyone and feel like more of a community and less isolated.

For the most part everyone was in one area though, so that was good.

that black 1ga had a pretty bad day too. Broke two axles, got replacements, then broke some more again

the lunch seemed like it was 2-3 hours long. cluster-F seems like an understatement.

you kept giving jose hope because he was eyeing your gst sticker and thinking you were running those times with a fwd. After the finals we went over and looked under your car to see the rear diff and he was crushed.

haha, so true... I was amazed at how well this "gs-t" was launching. Oh well, awd swap is looking damn good though haha.

139* at the end of the run, and it was VERY toasty. I guess all the regular staff at sac was over helping out at infineon raceway for the nhra autolite nationals. So there were really only 2 tech guys, chad, the water box guy, the tree guy and I think thats it. They even called out for some announcer volunteers, if the event would have been bigger, who knows what kind of chaos would have ensued.

It was still really cool to have pretty much all the dsms take up one whole isle of parking.

heres the beginning runs, i'm still uploading videos

Had a ton of fun this weekend! Thanks to all the cool guys that I got to talk to!

Car ended up 3rd in the AWD/RWD Index class but had a personal best of 10.38@128, so I'm happy with the result!

keep the vids comin!!! LOL sony slave you have a one badass!!! car!!! haha cant believe i went to the semi's

I think English has the quickest pass of the day. I wanna say his first pass was an 8.5. But the "FASTEST" pass of the day was the Red Speed Factory Integra 8.7@174. Which I thought was funny because the guy next to him that ran the 9 pulled the chute and the 8.7 guy didnt.

I think you're talking about the T1 Integra.

teds car makes my car looks like its sitting still LOL!!!

Haha my bad! You can run those times with a gst just need to add the X at the end with a awd swap. GST-X :hellyeah:

killa_dsm: I'm stumpped, I hit full boost almost at 5K with my hx35. Thats what really kills me at the line... even though I have awd too.

What kind of hot side are you running? Thats about where my hx40 makes full boost. And we have the same BC280 cams. I dont wanna clutter this thread so PM me man.

It was definitely an honor to be able to race next to the top dog English guys. Super chill too. Thanks SonySlave (Mike?? I think your name was) for sharing some good dsm knowledge while we were stuck/waiting in line.

Yeah! I had a great time there! Definately one of the best DSM meets in a long time!
I'm glad the weather wasn't too hot. Maybe it was hot and my hat kept me cool :dunno: I was the OG in the white desert hat.

I was still running the 16G. I just got a TD06-20G from Nico last week. I was going to put it on for this race but I got busy, then I realized that I shouldn't make a big change the day before a race just in case something came up. I didn't want to go slower on a bigger turbo, right?

My best time of the day was 10.9@ 124mph. That was my first run and I wasn't pushing too hard. My second run started fast but as soon as I hit 3rd gear the car bucked and misfired bad. It happened before and I think I know what it is, but it ruined the run.

Trezy, I saw one of your runs. What AF ratio are you running? Your car sounded like it was running too rich, or do you have an O2 dump with an internal wastegate?

:hellyeah::thumb: dude, josh.. thank you for posting those videos.. I really felt like i was there with you guys!! you did a superb job documenting..

A/F is in the mid 10s. 91 octane plus meth , low timing and an external dump. I keep bugging him (and Ryuto) to go e85. :sneaky:
