S16g vs. B16g?

I want to upgrade my 14b but don't want to get to crazy so I was thinking of either the s16g or the b16g. Do both of these just bolt on or do they require some modifications. I understand the horspower differences each brings, but what Im really looking for is something I can install myself and don't have to change my whole car to be able to support the new turbo.

Yes they both directly bolt-on. And I ran a big16g on stock injectors with rewired fuel pump at 15psi for the longest time. Lots of nice power and no knock. I would go with the big16g for the obvious reasons.

Agreed, I ran my Big 16G at 15psi on a stock fuel system with no knock and 17psi with a 190 and stock injectors. Either one is an excellent street turbo and is much more fun than a stock unit.

thanks for the info guys. I just know that if i get the s16g Im going to want more power later, so might as well start with the big one right? So if I understand correctly, I can just bolt one on, add a 190 fuel pump, MBC, and Im pretty much good to go?

A datalogger would be nice just to make sure your not getting any knock

You'd be good with that combination (fuel pump included) to around 17psi on the stock sidemount. With injectors, I don't see why you couldn't run at least 19-20 psi without knock. I think you'll like the big although plenty of tuners have gone plenty fast on the small version. The flow difference and spool characteristics aren't that different, but having driven cars with both turbos, I prefer the big (by a small margin!).
