From the pics I see you did not weld plate to the towers before you welded the bar straight to them. Also you cannot have bars run to the tower bar like that. They need to be run to the frame section of the floor or to the tower area. You cannot have bars run to bars that are not supported on the back side.

He doesn't care.... that's how this thread got to 20 whatever pages...

There are a lot more mistakes than what you pointed out, bar placement issues, lack of strength issues, hard headedness issues.

LOL. Damn i cant wait till this thing breaks in half. Reading "you guys were right" is gonna make my year.

You may not get a chance to. My Camaro (that had a 350) could get very squrriely if I let it. That was in a car that was built for a V8. Given the "torque" that this has the potential of having (when built right) it could just end up in a wall LOL

Lol. let me rephrase. When it breaks, wrecks or any other bad shit because of OPs stupidity

LOL . From looking at the pics that engine is going to have some serious twist issues going on. They have anti-twist brackets that are made to go on the front of the engine but in this case, that's about all it can bolt to.

Man, every time I look at this thing a little closer I see more things that are just..... wow.

Pic two, zoomed in on the top "support" mount on the front end, with the 1/16" 1x1... op, you realize the entire weight of the front end, on even just a speed bump, plus the general force of the bump (what makes your teeth chatter) will be absorbed by only 6 measly spots.... all of those spots are where you have TINY ASS metal welded directly to the sheet metal of the body!!!!!! Good lord, man. Get a clue someday!

I hope you like tacos, because there is going to be a 3000 lb double crunch wrap supreme in your driveway.

I have a great idea that may actually hold this car together.... when you finish up whatever else you plan on doing wrong here, just weld up the entire body with 3/16" plate, like the machete kills el camino. If you throw enough metal at it, it could stay together. Then it will need that v8 to get up to freeway speeds.

What are your plans for the body work up front?

has he passed his budget mark of 5k yet? Also, for the amusement of everyone, use that go pro mount on the spoiler and take a video of this car on its first pass. so we can hear you saying "you guys were right.."
