Saturday I started off on the rust repair.
I started by pulling off the driver side skirt, I was very nervous about doing this however it wasn't as bad as I feared.
Skirt off.

Cut out and prep'd for welding. I need to hit the inside with some rust killing primer and paint. The patch will be in today.

I also got a couple patch panels down in the trunk.

This takes a long time to do because I can only tack so much before the metal gets too hot and I have to wait for it to cool. I don't want to burn through it so I've really got to watch the heat as the metal is 22ga. I hope to have most of the rust repaired today except for the front rad support. I'll tackle that tomorrow.

Working on the car as I type this, got lots of work done and I'll have more updates tonight.

what sort of welder are you using? i tried welding my rockers and it just kept burning through.

Older Lincoln Mig Pak 10.
I burned through a couple times but you just need to have the wire speed and heat low plus take your time, only tack weld.

You going to use seam sealer once you've got all your patches in place?

yeah. i just gotta find where i can get it. im gonna assume its not just normal caulk. hopefully mine turns out well
