Hey guys, I recently found that the adjustment screw of my manual boost controller had randomly jiggled out and got itself lost (see pic), probably because I always keep it on the absolute lowest level. My question is: can I simply remove the controller completely and attach the vaccum line to the tee fitting (see pic). I know you need some kind of bleeder system to keep the wastegate happy but shouldn't this just keep the boost at the lowest possible level? The only reason I don't spend the $20 to replace it is that I always run low boost anyway - come on who's gonna run 20 psi @ $3.50 a gallon? :nono:

Well, tell me your thoughts - Thanks! :D

That is how I had mine before I bought a boost controller since my stock one was broken. I just had one line from th bov to the tee, one line from the im to the tee, and one line from the wg actuator to the tee. It ran 11psi set up like that.

Kind of off topic but where did you get the colored hoses. I really need to redo all the vacuum hosing in my car as its all messed up and incorrect sizes. Can you tell me what size and where you got that hosing from?

Thanks

if my car was still running i would probably have it at 17 psi right now, until i get off the stock fuel system... how i would get by the 3.50 per gallon prices.... step one, find a friend, step two, tell him your car doesnt run, step three, ask for a ride everywhere you want to go, step four.... drive your car at night, and borrow your moms during the day....this way you dont pay for fuel half as often, but have all the same fun.... :sneaky:

Ripping off your friend is OK but your mom too? :nono: :p

6mm for regular vacuum lines and 8mm for breather/bov line.

Awesome, just ordered the APC from JEGS. Sorry I can't give any more rep points to you guys as I've already given them to you. I would've orderd the Platinum but damn they're expensive.

I thought you were talking about spark plugs for a second there, then I looked at the links. :coy:
