Running Rich, newbie help!

Whenever i boost i see a thick black cloud of smoke coming from my exhaust. I have a 95 tsi, pte 50 trim ported, aeromot. a1000 fpr, 255 walbro, fic 650ccs, 3in rnr turbo back, spearco fmic, crushed 1g bov, ngk 7es plugs, magnecore 8.5mm wires, hks evo ext gate, those are the top of my head, dsmlink v.2 as well, how do i tune my car so it doesnt run rich? Also where do i plug in the link cable into? i kno this is a very newb question but my friend just installed the link into my car a week ago. im running at 18psi right now with a mbc. thanks for the help!

the dsmlink cable plugs into the cars factory diagnostic port underneath the dash same place you would hook at logger up to, or a computer scanner. go here for install directions and the user guide http://dsmlink.com/downloads.html

it will instruct you on how to set up the dsmlink in your car ### you will need to setup your injector compensation in the link etc.., also would be a good idea to perform a boost leak test on the car while your at it.

Trying to tune with dsmlink before you fix ALL of your boost leaks is useless. Go ahead and set up a baseline for those injectors and fuel pressure if you must have it running. If you are still very noticeably running rich, boost leaks are going to be a major concern.

thanks for the responses guys. i did a boost leak test and there was a very small leak coming from one of the couplers to my licp, fixed that and now im going to hook up the link to my comp tonight. ill post my first log either later tonight or tomorrow afternoon so hopefully you guys could help me out a bit! thanks again!

okay, all the software is downloaded and was up and running i just cant find where the hell under the dash b/w the steering column and the inner kick panel the dame plug is to plug the cable into. can someone maybe post a pic of where exactly or tell me where the plug is for the cable to plug into please! thanks!
