There has been lots of threads on the SSautochrome ebay kits. Im looking to buy the 1g long route piping kit from them. They emailed me saying the piping is 3". Isnt this way to big and cause lag problems.

You always want a balance of flow and volume for your setup. If you're not running a properly sized turbo (or your piping is not properly sized for your turbo), then yes, it can be too big.

If you want to go with 3inch do the short route the long route 3 inch is way to little room with oil filter and altenator in the way. You also have to look for the clearence going around the bumper.

The only reason I was asking is because the cheap kit on ebay has 3". SSautochrome doesnt offer it with 2.5". I was going to get this kit, but now im thinking of fabing up some of my own piping. Might as well try to tackle the project.

even if you cant weld, having an exhaust shop make the piping and buying couplers would be cheaper. there is a huge, i mean encyclopedia size, thread about ebay cores and DIY piping. you should check it out. i haven't yet, but this is the route i will be taking. Exhaust shop piping may not be shiny like ss autochrome's, but i say forget the bling and use the spare money on something else.
