I had to replace my starter so I took off my intake manifold and I bought a new gasket.
I cleaned the surface of all old gasket and I put red rtv on the head of the engine
And then put the gasket on then rtv on the gasket then I put my intake manifold on and put all the bolts in with just finger tight and then torq them to spec but I have a bad boost leak from it and I can't get rid of it I have bought three gaskets and did this three times with in the last day I need some help. Its my dd. I will be checking this posting all today as I will be working on itt right away so if any one can help me out that would be cool . My car is a 1995 gsx .

It doesn't have a six bolt (1G) engine swap does it? Or is it factory 2G 7bolt engine? The 2G intake mannifold will not work on a 1G head. If that's the case, you need a 1G intake manni to go with your 1G head.

Never use rtv silicone on the intake manni gasket, IT IS NOT NEEDED AND ONLY MAKES A MESS CAUSING MORE TROUBLE.

Get the back of your cylinder head perfect shiny clean, get the flange of the intake manni perfect shiny clean, get a new gassket, COPPER SPRAY THE NEW GASKET, NOT SILICONE.

The copper spray works excelent and won't make a mess causing problems, there will be no silicone squished inside the cylinder head port like what happens with silicone. Since you have the intake manni off, inspect your throttle body, also buy new TB gasket and copper spray those, NOT SILICONE. Put back together and trace out all the vacuum/pressure lines, make sure all the hoses go to their prosective home. Verify no vacuum leaks from the lil vacuum lines or the big 1/2" hose for your power brakes (brake booster line)

Inspect all your lines, and for pete's sake, STOP USING SILICONE

By the way, to R&R the starter, intake manni removal isn't needed

No RTV on the intake gasket.

Check the IM flange for warp.

3 step torque the IM flange from the center out

I have a 2g head with 2g manni ok I will go buy coper spray right now then thank you I'm just tired of doing this

Well just got done with thethe intake and its fixed did a boost leak test and volia done ! Bought a felpro gasket 10.52 $ and copper spray 8 $ and its fixed sweet deal thanks every one. I didn't know how good copper spray was till I used it .

The proper torque sequence mentioned by BogusSVO cannot be understated. Hand snug first, then tighten in 3-4 stages from the center out. I like to use a 1/4" ratchet for stuff like this so you can feel the tension much better. Glad it worked out for you!
