I have a 1g motor with a 2g TB. Boost leak all around TB. Can i use rtv instead of buying the paper gaskets? If i should use the gaskets, should I get the 2g ones?

Yes, i have read alot of posts and they say less is better. I may just get the paper gaskets but what ones?

Save some hassle and just get a sheet of the gasket material and cut a custom one. As for 1g or 2g gasket specifically, I don't think it really matters since the TBs are so close in design. When having the leaks, did you make sure the gasket was installed in the right direction? I made that mistake once thinking it didn't matter, when it really does.

I have used a product called Hi-Tach in the past to help with paper gaskets. It's and aerosol product that acts kind of like contact cement. It will "stick" the gasket to the surface it's placed on. It's NOT a replacement for the gasket!
