Rs49t or Scm61

I have a built 2.3l and i just ordered Dsmlink, my situation here is that i have a brend new rs49t that i was planing on using but i dont know if i should keep it or get the scm61 from pte. I had also boought the line from agp to run my 50 trim but if i were to buy the scm61 can i still use these same line. My goal is to run 21-25 psi and 400-500 whp.

I'm 99% sure the feed line kit's would be the same.

The scm61 would accomplish this goal much easier than a 50-trim would.

Ok, but what is a better street turbo and should i go threw all the hassle to try to sell my 50 trim in order to get the scm61, i am running with a fwd.

I have the rs49t and it's a nice turbo for lots of power but it or anything larger is not a street trubo in my opinion.

The rs49t should hit around 3500 and from what I've read the smc61 is more like 4000k or so..... making the rs49t more streetable then the 61.

I really miss the quick punch of my t25 but I can't complain about the power.

The stroker will help with Spool, although your FWD so that may not be a good thing.

The larger turbo will allow you to reach your goals easier.

a have a buddy that works for AGP turbos, and i was going to buy an rs49t from him. After reading what everybody has said about the turbos though, no thanks. If you search the forums, there are many people who says these turbos make you car fast as hell, but then after a very short time the turbo turns to junk. And yes, Turbonetics has a 1 year, and 1 replacement warranty on the turbos, but what happens when you second one you get goes out? I am not saying that if you get an rs49t it will go out, i have just heard alot about that. But...maybe it was just a coincidence and i only heard from the people that had the problems though, who knows?

haha owell, hopefully all of the bad stuff ive read about this turbos were just kind of rare or something, and maybe Turbonetics has fixed their problems.
