I've searched all the threads dealing with this turbo and it seems to be a pretty good all around turbo. Except this one guy on here, who is having some problems. I've also found out that the turbo runs great with pump gas. That is a great aspect. So my question is do you think that this would be a good upgrade for me. I want to run consistent 12s and i think this turbo will definatly help. Cheeck out current mods. (profile) I want all of your opinions or even other suggestions on turbo upgrades. I mean you just can't beat their one year warranty.

It also seems that people who upgrade to a 16g are wishing for more power and i definatly don't want to buy another turbo if i already bought the 16g. I'm not bagging the 16g i just want a little bit more.

that definately is a nice turbo. the one year warranty is nice too. I would use that turbo instead of a 16g. i have a big 16g on my car. the previous owner did that upgrade, but i can wait to do something a little bigger

I just rode in a buddies car that recently upgraded to the RS49 and at 16lbs this car feels like a rocket. Boost response is quick and I didn't notice any lag. He sold me on the turbo so I will be purchasing one very soon. It was also amazing on how I was comparing his mods to mine and I am not very far from what he has. It is daily driven and on pump gas. Definitely going to be getting this turbo.

damn you guys are as convincing as everyone else. I think i am set on getting this turbo And i think my supproting mods can handle it although i might get some 660's.

when i bought my car it had a 17c and i blew it at the track. I bought an RS49T right away and put it on. I have issues with my car that need fixed but i went from like 99mph trap to 103mph and i was only running 14.5. I think that if i get dsmlink I can easily get into the 12's with a good launch.

Since you have DSMlink, don't dick around with the 660cc injectors. Go straight to the FIC/Delphi 950cc.
If you get the RS49, 20G ,or any other decent sized turbo you'll run out of fuel and be doing it all over again.
What's the duty cycle on your 550cc right now?
