Just ordered an rs49 with the billet internal wastegate, and just had a quick question, can the wastegate be mounted with the stock fans? or are slimlines needed? i can deal with having to trim some of the fan off i was just wondering if anybody had the rs49 internally gated with the stock fans

Yes, it will fit. These are the only pics I could find, but here is how your WG setup is going to be fitted. You will actually end up having a problem w/ the turbo's compressor outlet and 90* elbow hitting your stock fans.

I knew this looked familiar :D

FYI.. the turbo is the AGP L2 which is identical to the RS49 except it uses the Mitsu 7cm housing in lieu of the B-E housing. I'm sure fitment would be similar but as the B-E housing pushes the turbo forward a bit to clear the water pipe.. may be tighter fit than in my pics :dsm:

Yess! this is the thread i was waiting for! cmon guzs, this turbo is mz upcoming christmas present,so please leave all the feedback you can about the install,.type of wastegate and what supporting mods as well as how the car feels!

Yep, got the pics from you, thanks! And by B E he means Bullseye Turbine Housine. And yes, it does space the turbo out a very decent amount, I didn't need to dent my water pipe at all for it to fit. And the Bullseye housing is the very best housing you can buy IMO.

would this be a good turbo for a fwd? yes ill put in the kaaz lsd while im doing the clutch.(its in my budget for this years winter project to do list)

i need a strong fwd streetable turbo,im hoping that the rs49 is it ( i notice all of you have AWD)

I have AWD???? I wish, actually no I don't wish. But I am FWD and run a 50trim, whitch is what the RS49T is and I can get 3rd to spin. I don't have a LSD and it shows. At 25psi, no traction till top of 3rd sucks... But the highway pulls....DAMN!

well im getting an lsd.. and a longerr 5th gear off a mitsu minivan (space gear or space runner ,i forgot the name) so i mean 4th and 5th gear pull is very very important for making kills on the Autobahn. but a longer 5th gear would help drivability issues ( at cruising speed..less noise) and help increase topspeed..diesels now go 150mph..cant just leave them behind only to be overtaken at the end. :notgood:

cmon guys keep replys comin
