PTE 50 trim owners come in! boost issues?

Anyone having issues controlling boost? A couple of weeks ago I was hitting rock solid boost at 24 psi on my BB5031, but yesterday it seems that I can only hold 20 psi. I'm wondering if it's the wastegate is blowing open or just a faulty boost controller. I'll be tightening up the wastegate in a bit to see if that helps, but I'm wondering if anyone has been holding 24+psi on their internally gated 5031s for more than a couple of months? It is a BB5031 from SBR, cut divider on hotside, self ported inlet.

My 5031 has been through:
2k miles 21 psi
1k miles 24psi

Mine would vary with the outside temp. I also had a spike issue all the time. In order to run 25-26 psi it would bounce off the 30 psi mark in every gear. A few months ago I switched to external and the problems were solved. I must have tried four different boost controllers and played with gate tension many times. My turbo has been on the car about 3.5 years and has roughly 15,000 miles on it.

Mine wont hold more then 26 psi. The internal gate blows open.

The only time my boost drops from my normal 26psi, is when I get a boost leak.

Although my 50 trim isn't made by PTE it has held 24psi daily on the internal gate just fine for 3 years.

I have the arm adjusted as tight as I can get away with(about 1psi spike). That would be the first thing I would do.

Have you checked for any pre-O2 exhaust leaks?

My 5031e needed to have the wastegate tightened a little. I was doing like you said. After that I was able to hold 26psi easily on it with a simple MBC.

That's exactly what I figured, thanks guys. I'll be tightening the WGA arm when I get a chance (I barely drive the car anymore because of the weather) and I hope that'll help the situation.

Did you check for boost leaks?
