ive read so many threads on this i dont know what is good and what isnt. i drive this car daily and its making 455awhp. my car is burning 1 qt of oil every 200-300 miles and im thinking it is because of not having the PCV valve in the valve cover. i have the RRE catch can and a straight fitting in the valve cover where the PCV was. my compression is good, turbo is new, not blowing smoke out of my exhaust. so i was wondering if i should put the PCV valve back in the original location in the valve cover. but if i do where do i route the catch can lines ? one from the pcv to vacuum source at intake manifold and the other fitting on the valve cover to the catch can, but i still have an open fitting on the catch can ?

The absolute best catch can setup. The cans have to be sealed.

This is something I have been curious about to since I have a JMF vented can laying around. can you run the line from the valve cover to the can and put a cap on the the other catch can port?

The second "extra" line represents an additional line for those having high crank case pressures and need it to relief the pressure. I'd recommend it.

If your burning this much oil, you have a serious problem. I'd be worrying about how that much pressure is reaching the valve cover in the first place. I'd be checking your compression and finding out if your rings are shot. Otherwise you are putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound. What were your numbers? Good may mean in denial.

It was a suggestion, it's not required. I know the cause, effect, and correction.

If you still have some blow-by which almost all turbocharged engines have; the tiny hole on the valve cover is not that efficient - hence running a second line would increase the efficiency of the "system".

Or you could weld a AN fitting onto the valve cover like most people do.

The second line is also an option for guys that remove the valve cover baffle after they find huge amount of media stuck in there.

To the OP: Definitely do a compression test and a CLT test. Report back.
