RPM dipping

when i drive my car at say 80kms.hr and pop it into Nuetral my RPMS plunge down to about 500-600. does this happen to anyone else? I am scared it will stall on me one day =\

something tells me my BOV is making hti shappen..(blows to atmosphere) am I correct?

If the BOV is venting then yes it can cause this to happen, did you plug the hole where the recirculation tube goes into the intake from the BOV? If not try that.

If you mean your RPMs drop when you put it into neutral its normal, but 500 to 600 is low. I would recommend either recirculating your current BOV, or getting a new one.

I no longer have the stock intake, so it has no recirc tube.(i got a Home depot one ) and yes, I am aware RPMS dropping is normal when put in beutral haha. was worried cuz it drops so low...

yeah, 750 r's-pm are exactly what you whant, are you using the GM MAS, MAST? or do you have the karman vortex stock? because I really haven't heard anything good out of venting on stock intake...

you put your stock BOV back on but is that one still venting? if its not recirc it doesnt matter what BOV you have on it needs that recirculated air. you said you made a intake and it doesnt have spot for the BOV dump. youll need to change that or get a GM MAFT setup but changing your pipe is the easier and cheaper way to go

it is recirculating. the problem seems to be a tad worse at times with my stock BOV on for some reason =\ eek! someone help! haha

You said you put on your stock bov, but did you put on your stock intake. You said you HD intake doesn't have the dump tube. I guarantee that if you had it recirculated that you wouldn't have a problem. If it's recir'd and still having that problem make sure all you IC pipe are tight.

I made a bung for the BOV and sealed around the edges so it wouldnt leak. I will double check all my IC pipes tonight. and switch to my stocker intake as well to and see how that goes.

Seems everyone will agree around here that venting is causing your problems bro. Hopefully you recirculating back into the intake will resolve your issues.

I AM recirculating right now...I took the BOV off and still =\ so yeah, gonna look for some leaks and change my vacuum lines maybe
