rough idle with stroker engine

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have been working on this car for 3 years now I have learned a lot but lets face it there is a lot to learn when it comes to dsm's. I have had nothing but problems and still trying to work them out. I have a 90 with 2.3 stroker kit, 880cc injectors, t3/t4 hybrid, stage 3 dsm chip and a Maf-t. I need a new transmission so I've been working on the engine because it runs rough. My idle is around 500 and lopes I've tried adjusting the biss screw with no luck using both chilton and hanes manuals. I recently swapped out the biss screw because some idiot before glued it in. :banghead: I have a few questions I was hoping anyone could help with.

1. what should I set ignition timing to with the stroker kit?
2. If I have a dsm chip set for the 880 Injectors what should I set the maf-t to?
3. What other noobie mistakes could I have made? I'm sure a lot :ohdamn:

Thanks for all the help I have tried lots of researching but just not sure where else to look.
 
So what do you guys think the chances of the valves being bent? Should I just change cam gears and time it or pull the head first?
 
That's what I was thinking too. I would hate to buy a new gasket if things are fine the one that is on there is a brand new one already.
 
I agree. If it runs fine other then a rough idle valves are most likely good. You could do a leak down test to verify.
