Hey guys.
So I purchased a '91 Talon the other day. It is pretty well built, with 272 cams, speed density, walbro 255, bastard 20g, and a fmic. It is tuned on a ProEFI ecu. Everything is perfect, except that very first start up of the day. It cranks for a while, and wont seem to turn over until I give it a little gas. Then, once it does start up, I have to continue to give it a little gas or else it will die. The previous owner said that it's always done this. And the guy who does all the work and tuning on it said that it's something that I'll just have to live with. This is my first 1g, so maybe it is just a common problem, at least that's what everyone is telling me anyway.
I already tried replacing the starter, the battery, and the coolant temp sensor. Doing these seemed to help, but the problem still exists.
I have been told that other causes could be the throttle body, the throttle position sensor, or the fuel filter.
What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
