About a year ago i weighed the crank rods and pistons between a 6bolt and 7 bolt and the weight difference was amazing like 30lbs less for the 7 bolt but it has been a while so don't hold me to the exact weight but it was alot for them to be so similar. I know that the 7 bolt gets a bad rap from crank walk 95-99 blocks and from weaker rods but for anything under about 400-450hp i think i would rather have a 92.5-94 7 bolt because it has less rotating weight and the big head bolts like the 6 bolts.I never really heard it mentioned before so i thought i would share my findings.
