ross 20 over pistons on stock 1g rod help

hey i just had a question for everyone. I did some research on this free floating and pressed in fit. Which is better for around 400 horse power. pressing the pin into the 1g rods or boring the rod out and making it full floating? keep in mind I'm "kinda" on a budget. Or would I have to fork over the money and get forged rods that are full floating? I would really like to keep the 1g rods though. thanks.

i just went through this with my local machine shop man. the way he explained it to me convinced me to by the rods to match. i have .20 over ross pistons that i was gonna use on a stock 1G rod with ARP rod hardware. but theres extra machine shop work that goes into using the nicer arp bolts, and the way he explained how the rod pulls the piston back down totally convinced me to by better rods. i trust what he said because he wasnt trying to sell me anything. i didnt by any parts from him at all. but he explained the cost of doctering up my rods to run these pistons and speacial bolts vs buying nicer. the differance in cost was justifiable so i went with eagle rods that came with arp and required no machine shop work. this platform is starting to get old and the performance parts that were just WAY to expensive 5-6 years ago are now actually quite affordable

Really because I talked to my machine shop who does very well work with dsm's and he told me that you may even need to do some work to the eagle rods to make them fit right?
