I have a knock started a few weeks ago so I parked it asap. I want to sell it but I think the knock and it being non turbo will make it difficult so what should I do? Fix it? How much woulds I have to put into to fix it? I want to get three most amount possible out of it.

If you aren't capable of rebuilding it yourself than i would just find a cheap engine in a salvage yard with a warranty and throw it in there.

its a 420a engine those are a dime a dozen...theres no way to fix with out pulling the engine depending on your budget pull it and rebuild it and spend about 1000-2000 depending on what u buy for parts and assembly...or buy a salvage yard engine and hope its good and not going to start knocking down the road, GOOD LUCK

It cost me 500 to rebuild the top half would out be about the same for the bottom?

Who is charging 500 to rebuild a head? You should pay 200 tops for a valve job, surface and clean. For bottom end work, it all depends on whether or not you are going to have to get pistons, oil pump, and how damaged the crank is. If your pistons are re-usable and you just need a hone, clean and the crank turned than you are looking at about 150-200 in machine work. You will need at least one new rod also. You can buy a re-ring kit for around 100 shipped that comes with npr rings, acl bearings and a full gasket set. You will need to pull the oil pump apart and check it for wear and see if it is in spec. If it is in spec i would not hesitate to reuse it with a proper cleaning. If it is out of spec there is another 100 dollars there. You will also need a timing belt, tensioner and pulleys, and a water pump, so there is another 150 dollars.

My votes on junk yard block... you are not going to get the money you will spend on a proper rebuild out of it when you sell it and you will waste a lot of time since this is probably your first 420a rebuild. Just IMO though.

this would be my first 420a bottom end rebuild ive done the top before but i forgot that I would need the timing belt and everything too I would rather just sell it without fixing it but I dont know if I can do that vry easily.

I had a knock and since i caught it early all i had to do was roll in a set of bearings. 60 bucks later problem solved.
