Rod strength and cam advice
I'm trying to decide between manley I beam, manley h beam, or eagle h beam. Im shooting for around the 700 whp range... Any opinions on these three?

Anyone running 280 cams? Have any problems with the car dying at stop lights etc. ?

At that power level, I'd stray away from standard h-beams. I'd go with a manley turbo-tuff I beam connecting rod, it should easily take that power. Remember though, its not always about parts, a good tune can go a long way. A bad tune can wreck the strongest of internals.

ok you have decided on 272 cams, but whos grind? Have you looked into what add'l parts will be needed with the cams?


personally, I perfer H beam rods.

Yeah crower or jun. How did your h beams hold up? I don't want to spend all this money to find out my block isn't strong enough. And yeah I'm gettin valves springs and retainers too.

Pm sent boss. I would suggest the Manley I beam for you hp Goal. Also the GSC s2 would be a great cam to look into for your goals..
