I am pretty sure i can be asking this here, if not i am sorry admins!
But are any of you guys interested in road racing here? Since this coming season i am planning on running a couple races (thanks to ludachris for the information). I really don't want to go alone, so i was just wondering if any of you actually road race at the tracks.
As of now it is me and a buddy with a 07 tsx.

i really really really want to, but i have no money, let alone a car,......

i'll join you next season hopefully, possibly, maybe,..

I race motorcycles so I plan to do just track days with my car. I have done track days when we had two sessions for cars and 1 session for bikes. Cars are kinda boring when I came off track with my bike and jumped in a car. Don't get me wrong I still had fun, it's just nothing like riding a bike to it's limits.

Who's car is that in your avatar than? Its not running? Brandon what kind of bike you run? I got a friend and his brother in law, funny his name is brandon aswell but anyways they run a honda cbr 600 and his bro has a kawasaki ninja 650?
When are you planing on running brandon? Maybe I can learn a tip or two. Road racing is a passion of mine and I am getting a little bit of tired going out at 2 am in the morning here just to hhit up the canyons/hills.

I have raced a few diffrent bikes, ZX6r, Honda RS250 (GP Bike), Suzuki DRZSM, This season it looks like it will be a CBR600RR. I need to get a few things sorted out with the Talon before I do a track day, but I hope to get to T-Hill in Feb or March. Maybe even Reno/Fernley.

Great! I am pretty much newb when it comes down to this. Ludachris has been helping me out by giving me links off nasa for me to register for an event, ect. I'm learning

Join NASA and sign up for the HPDE event at Laguna Seca on Jan 19th or the 20th.
I think registration opens tomorrow, so join with $40 for a year and you get a subscription to Grasstoots Motorsports Magazine.
Then you can sign up for the events.
Browse around the site and read all of the rules and such.
They'll send you a packet of information and pay particularly close to rules regarding AWD's and towing.
Get a SA2005 approved racing helmet and you're golden.

I plan to be there on the 20th...

Here's link. NASA Event Registration

you forgot the link, but i got it!

One quick question how come there is only one event for us california? Jan 19th and 20th. Will more be schedule through out the year?

ummm, its a dsm isn't it? thats kind of a requirement as far as im concerned

in all seriousness, it has no motor and i crashed it recently, so i've got my work cut out for myself before its road race ready.

plus i want her to be a trailer queen

We go about once a month with some of our customers. If you are interested in meeting up with us PM me.

Will do sean. Let me just order a new turbo because my 14b decided to explode on me.
Evo3? =)

shit, I just got an aluminum radiator and 3000gt vr-4 brakes, too bad I still need a motor before I can join you guys,

ps, pm me about an evo 3 16g turbo for sale in norcal

the dude with the car before me made custom brackets, but they are really simple. If anyone wants me to make a template I can, but I'm sure its posted online. Really all you need to know is the center to center distances, its basically a big L with four holes drilled and tapped. I bought the car with them on, and then put the single piston calipers on and drove it around some, and I seriously thought I forgot to bleed the brakes because of the huge difference they made.

I just wish my brakes weren't so front bias now with those huge brakes in the front and tiny mass voids in the back. maybe ill get another set and custom fab them in there, LOL.

still on the stock suspension though, so i need to work on that.

other things I picked up from the parts car are: adjustable sway bar links, polyurethane sway bar mounts, polyurethane rear shock spring mount thingys, and some other stuff.

theres still a polyurethane bushing on the rear axle, i think its useless for us awd guys.

so it sounds like I might be picking up an awd for daily driving, and if so I'll want to go to a few events with you guys and get some experience in a completely stock dsm, Im excited, LOL.

Was that any of you guys that I saw at Infineon today? I saw a white 1g there. I would've said hi, but you were rolling out of pre-grid when I spotted you earlier in the day. Didn't see you around the paddock though.

I had a great time, the car ran great (for once) but it might be time for better brakes. Hope to see more of you guys out there.

A couple of my friends were out there this weekend. Did you see the 1-800-INSURANCE evo? It's white with red decals. The guys from FFTEC were out there with that car.

Yes I saw that EVO. Lol when I saw that, I thought to myself what a weird sponsorship...maybe I can get MY work to give me some cash!

I would really love to run the Cali tracks at least once...but with gas projected at $4/gal it doesn't appear to be in the cards. If ya run 'em please post your experience!

Another fun day at Infineon. I got a lot faster, but I think I started running into that fuel starvation on hard left hand turns without a full tank thing. Towards the end of the day with half a tank in the car I was getting a few pops from the engine on left handers. Anyhow my car ran great for most of the day. With my heat shields and ducting in place, my coolant temps hit a max of 196 for the first three sessions. On the last session, maybe due to the fuel starvation and me continuing to push it harder each session, it overheated pretty bad before I noticed it was getting up there. It did run great however, even kept up with some of the time trial drivers. Oh and then I noticed that it had developed a fuel leak from the fuel pressure gauge LOL. I can never seem to get away from a track day without some issue coming up. Anyway, it's all worth it and I hope to see more of you guys out there in the future. I did see a few evo's from Full Function.

i would love to go to the track next time anyone goes! im getting a 2.3 stroker and once thats broken in, im soo down. which track would this be? im assuming infineon or thunderhill?
