Im turbo awd, my downpipe has a hole in it so to pass inspection i need to get a new one. Since RNR racing has that good $500 turbo back deal i think i might go for it. But what should i get 3" or 2.5" and also would I lose alot of low end power?

Most people who go 2.5'' wish that they bought a 3'' system, so I'd just go with 3'' from the get-go. With a turbo car, I doubt you will see any low end power loss, I think thats pretty much for N/A cars (because they dont have a turbo "blocking" the exhaust flow). Opening up the exhaust should give you some nice performance gains, but it may cause boost creep. Are you still using the T25? If so then you probably won't experience it as much, but porting the WG and O2 housing wouldnt be a bad idea.

yea i was just gonna post a question about this...i think im gonna get one my freinds muffler shops to make me some pipes n probably weld a magna flow muffler on...i dunno if i should get 3" or 2.5" i stoped by a local performance shop today and talked to the guy about mufflers and i asked him why is the inlet for the muffler 2.5 ? and can i get it bigger if i have bigger pipes..he said i dont think u should get exhaust bigger then 2.5 because it would hurt your performance...he said that i need a little bit of back pressure...and i tried explaining to him the bigger the exhaust the faster spool up ill have...he still went off talking about v8 trucks havin 2.5 inch exhaust and they have v8's yada yada yada.....so im also wondering if anyone has experienced power loss with 3.0 inch cat back ...btw i will eventually get downpipe when i get some more money...

The turbo provides all the backpressure you will need. The only downside (mostly with a 3'' DP, the rest of the exhaust being 3'' doesnt affect it) is boost creep. If you port your WG and O2 housing then you should be okay. And if you guys are running the T25 then I doubt you will see any noticable creep.

I got a 16g, how much hp will a 3" turbo back give me you think?
