Rid of cat delete CEL?

I bought one of those fancy O2 sensor bung adapters that is supposed to "trick" the Ecu. They're like $5 on eBay.

It didn't work for me. It works for some. It's hit or miss.

As for BOTH sensors....hmmm. The rear should be for the CAT missing with no real issues fuel delivery related. It will throw the CEL.

The front O2 is important and you need it and it's signal in working order. The ecu looks to the front O2 for its closed loop fuel maps.

If you have a front O2 cel it might really be malfunctioning and you might be hurting your performance. You should look into this.

Have you noticed any change in your performance?

Otherwise....if you have ECMLINK/DSMLink, you can disable certain CEL's that bother you.

The CEL for both sensors would be for two different problems. Only the downstream o2 sensor would cause a CEL due to a removed catalytic converter. You have 6 options there:
  1. Put a catalytic converter on.
  2. Clear the code every few days.
  3. Get something like DSMLink to disable the rear o2 CEL.
  4. pick up a o2 sensor simulator. (3sx sells them for the 3/s. It sends a fake signal)
  5. o2 sensor spacer. (I cannot confirm this will work)
  6. Ignore it.
If you have a CEL for the upstream o2, it needs replaced.

Well it just threw 2 codes that looked identical. My front o2 sensor is new and my reading on my wideband are ideal. I tried the o2 extension, but I can't get it on, because the floor board is too close to the bung on the exhaust and won't allow any extra length to fit.

Well then. 2gmitsu above gave you all the best options. There are 6. Choose the best for your end goal.

...personally I am running option #6 for now. I get smogged next month and have to put the cat/downpipe back to stock, then I will get linked to clear the O2 codes when I throw my dp back on.

If you are having clearance issues it sounds like you got one of the "Honda O2 extensions" the L shaped ones. They have straight ones. I tried the straight extention. It fit with no issues. It probably won't work for you anyway.

Unbolt the front half of the exhaust this should give you enough play to use the rubber hangers as a fulcrum and give you room to screw tings in.

Look-up Spark Plug Foulers. You can pick them up at most auto parts stores and they will cheaply do the trick by spacing out the O2 sensor.

I got a spacer and adjustabke jets from vibrant and it works well. No cel just runs slightly richer though. Ok with the levels of it though.
