Ok, this is something I should know but honestly I am stumped. Hopefully a quick question is all that is needed to prove my ignorance. This is on a 1st gen (92 laser awd to be exact)
I have reset the ecu several times but my fuel trims all revert back to the same number, 81.2% and this is on the low mid and high trims. If I remember correctly this is not maxed out but rich no matter how I look at it. I do know that I have boost leaks at the throttle body shaft seals but this should only affect my mid and high fuel trims correct? But this is what really confuses me, my spark plugs all are pale white and at idle when fully warmed up you can tell there is a lean misfire.
I figured if my throttle body shaft seals were so bad that they were causing a vacuum leak as well this would cause a lean condition, but I would have high fuel trims not low as in my case? I will add the list of mods below to give you all a better idea of what I got. Thanks for the help, feel free to call me whatever you want as long as it also includes something that may be my problem. Thanks guy's.
1992 Laser RS awd 5 speed
RC 550 injectors 190 lph fuel pump rewired with stock fuel pressure regulator
eprom ecu with unknow chip
stock 1g MAF small 16g stock boost level (15lbs)
3" turbo back exhaust
I will add that I have no tuning capability other than my mmcd logger. I also do not have a fuel pressure gauge installed and am thinking my fuel pressure may be high and half my problem.
