Rich Condition w/maf+maft?

Ok ive done searches and i cant really find my answer.2 things, i just intalled my blow through setup.All pipes from dejon tool,translator from dejon tool.So i put ever thing in and i went to drive it and it idles a bit lower then what i had it set and when i give it gas my it runs rich.Also when i give it gas my turbo can push more then 18 psi and i dont even feel the car pulling. I have a dejon tool mbc but this is the first time that i actually try it.I dont want to push more then 18 on a stock turbo and stock mods.I like it at 12 for the time being.So why am i running rich and why cant i keep my boost undercontrol?Also will the running rich condition cause my car to loose power when giving it gas?I i just completly take off the boost controller and hook it back up to stock and run fine?Thanks for your helps guys!
 
Im reading on how to as we speak.Im to new to just hop in there and turn dials.Im sorta affaird to as well.U have any tips to tunning with what i have stated?
 
The MAFT is plug-and-play, but you have to also have some sort of monitoring device to see what your fuel trims are.

You can get a pda and free software (MMCd if you have a 1G and Tunerstein if 2G). I use MMCd and it is awesome. You can also get the Scanmaster 3 from fullthrottlespeed and that will work the same as the pda.

I got my Palm m125 from ebay for $25 and my cable for $15 from ebay (don't forget that you need a serial cable that will run about $14-19). I also bought the Scanmaster 3 and I use that most of the time now to monitor the basics.

Once you have a way of monitoring your ECU, then you can begin to tune.

Basically, set the AUX and BASE to whatever size injectors you have. Turn the IDLE knob about 2 or 3 clicks rich to start with. Then, take the car out on the highway and drive about 55-70 mph and watch your 02 trim (hold your foot as steady as possible--you want this trim to be as close to 100% as possible [0% if 2G]) and that will give you your base setup.

Once you have your base set up, you can start doing some pulls and adjust the MID and WOT knobs. Make sure you have a good base tune before you do this.

This should get you started and running well. :D

Hey that does help! Thanks. I need to sorta find a shop to take care of this asap.I dont have time to wait for the stuff to come in.Its sorta hard to drive in this condition.
 
hey, are you useing anything else to tune your car, i hope so. tunning with the maft is a waste because it only has as low as 5% fuel levels, what i did to get mine to run right is set everything to zero and set the injectors to 450cc injectors aka stock cc, and then tune with your other device. this works great and im seeing between 13.9-15.1 a/f at idle
 
No i dont have anything else to tune it with. I wasnt aware that i needed something else.I though it was going to be plug and play.
 
The MAFT is not a waste and you don't need anything else. Version 2.0+ will tune to 2%, not 5%. It has a WOT fine tuning mode. Read up a little more before you give incorrect information.

im sorry buddie i didnt know they moved to 3%, but that still makes safc better.
