Before you say it, my BOV is recirculated (mostly, there might be a small leak) and the car is on LinkV3 with SD. Boost leak test is pending because I'm still waiting on some parts to do it, that'll hopefully be here this weekend.

I just bought this car so I'm learning as I go and trying to fix the problems that come up. The car has a NRG bov recirculated to an injen intake. The car drives fine but in between shifts my AFR will go drop to 10. I'm still working on a couple of separate issues (may be related?) such as an oil leak in the valve cover, a CEL code for an injector circuit malfunction, and possible vacuum leaks (~18 vacuum at idle). The car is also running 550 injectors and a 190lph but that should have already been accounted for thru link

Any other ideas? At this point I'm just fiddling my thumbs until I can do a BLT and hope that fixes this problem.

Also, your afr WILL go richer when you let off the throttle since there is a delay to reduce fuel spray.

What do you mean by:

There should be oil "in" the valve cover; otherwise your cams and upper valve train would seize up. :)

Seems one of the bolts is stripped so there's a small leak down the seam, I'm also getting oil on top near the spark plugs (not in the spark plugs themselves, but in that square gap..)

Will post a log this afternoon!

SD always seems to do that, seems dumb. Mine goes pretty much just as rich as running a MAF with the BOV to atmosphere.

I guess I somewhat assumed that running SD it wasn't supposed to do that vented or not. Note that my BOV isn't even vented..

At the same time there's so much other stuff going on with the car, I dont know what to blame anymore. Last time I buy someones unfinished project... :ohdamn:

I think if the intake was closed and leak free then the afr drop would not occur or drop as much since there is still a larger volume of air in the track that when open to the atmosphere.

But still it is a very quick change in airflow whence the throttle plate closes.

ive never had to recirc my BOV on SD? that is only needed for a MAF then again i have a tial and its impossible to recirc anyway. just mess around in your VE table, post a log

Make sure the supply to your map sensor, is of a large enough diameter and as short as possible. dont make any long runs of vaccum line to hook the map sensor to. Also give the sensor its own dedicated line. With speed density, you will not need to recirc the bov be cause that does not effect manifold pressure.

Do a BLT. Im almost certain thats it. Get that injector fixed. If you have oil in the square part of valve cover its probally you oil cap or you cracked it.

Not unless the leak is in the IM after the MAP sensor, or at the injectors. He's running SD.
He may be having the problem Iam with a leaky TB seals. After some throttle mine will stumble and get real rich. Then its right back to normal. Honestly I would just stay with the Maf setup easier to tune with IMO.

My thought is that, while shifting the car is dropping into a completely untuned area of the ve map. Try tracking your data log while viewing your ve table and find the area your ecu is pulling from during those rich shifts and lower your ve to something similar to your idle.
