Well when you recirc you will still run rich on shifts.. Your ecu is reading an x amount of air that is alot higher than when you let off the throttle. So the ecu cannot compensate fast enough to keep the a/f lean.. When you vent the a/f will slam closer to 10.0 and will hurt performance because the ecu is trying to equal out the a/f but the air is nolonger there.... It is normal.. I run a gm maf and when i shit it goes to 12.0-11.5ish..

Sorry about bringing this thread back, but I know there are a hundred more about rich shifts so I didnt want to make another one.

I have this same problem and my gas mileage isnt what it should be. I run a gm maf in blow through setup and Im also running Link, is there a way to tune it leaner in between shifts??

After you watch all the demos on link a few times do what they say

Set your base injector settings
Then get your airflowperrev and get your combined ft in line.

Then do a rough maf comp and do this a few times DSMlink MAS/MAF Calibration Page
mix that with adding fuel where you need/adjusting timing when you need.

That is a very broad and basic explanation of how to go about the tune.

Ive already done the base setting and gotten my airflow and fueltrims in order. The problem is when im in boost, theres a really bad fluttering goin on (have another thread about this), so I cant do the wot calibration. But other than that, I have a general understanding of link; I thought there was something else that could be done to lean out the fuel between shifts. I guess I just need to mess around with it some more. Thanks.
