i recently installed a BR UICP and a EGR blockoff plate. now why am i rich in between shifts and accually pretty much all the time.my a/f gauge used to bounce back and forth like normal, now it mostly sits on the rich side even when i let off the gas it stays rich, unless i am going down a hill it'll drop back lean. my car bucks forward when i let off the gas, pretty much the same as if you were vent your BOV. can anyone tell me why? i dont have any boost leaks, i did tighting up my throttle cable,so you guys think it could be my TPS out of whack? thanks for the help.

Well, the A/F guage really doesn't do a lot. It looks cool, but as far as informaton/numbers, you don't get much. DSM's run rich, it's normal. So nothing is wrong with your car, and your A/F guage won't help you much, it gives you only basic information....

tell that to my car, it's running bloddy lean

While I agree that the blinky light a/f gauges are pretty inaccurate and not worth all that much they do tell him something in this case. His car routinely went into closed loop like it should and now it doesn't and goes rich. While I wouldn't tune off of the gauge it does seem to indicate something is up.

Like Tev asked, are you venting your bov to the atmosphere? Have you pressurized the intake system after you finished to make sure you don't have any boost leaks?

yes i pressurized the the system with my homemade tester..and i am not venting my BOV. i am thinking it may be my tps out of line, since i adjusted my throttle cable, but its too damn cold out to play with the car now.i think todays high is 0..thanks for the info
