Rewired fuel pump, more power?

So, I just rewired my fuel pump today and after a couple of bumps in the road (alarm remote battery died causing my car battery to die ) it fired up and now when I drive I can swear I feel more power. My new tires even chirp shifting to second now. Does anybody have actual proof that it can generate more hp? I just want to know if it's all in my head or not...

It doesn't exactly make more power but it helps keep a constant voltage at the pump and allows it to flow the needed amount of pressure to the rail. So in theory, you could be getting better fuel flow and in turn getting better response. Were probably running lean before causing you to feel a power loss from insufficient fuel causing knock, pulled timing ect.

That's exactly what I was thinking. If so, wouldn't there be a power increase?

Yeah you can say that, but more correctly you can say that you are now GETTING BACK the power that you were losing...
