Revised block, difference on the block

Got a line on a revised 7 bolt block and was wondering what the main difference is between the 1st and 2nd design. Its a bare block, so it would be easy to tell. TIA.

In the 95 to early 97 blocks the center main and thrust bearings are one piece and the later 97-99 blocks use a separate center main bearing and thrust washers.

I would go with the 97-99 block since they are less prone to crankwalk.
