Ok I can't find an exact answer to this question. My current motor has ARP Studs, BS Removal and MLS. I don't think I can reuse the BS Removal kit. but I'm pretty sure I can reuse the ARP's right? My motor is damaged so I'm replacing it with a stock motor for a short while till my 2.4 is done.

Also, can I install the ARP's one at a time on the new motor so I don't have to pull the head and replace the head gasket? Like pull Stud 1 and install ARP in its place, torque it down, then pull stud 2 and so on and so fourth? Or is this going to cause problems? IF so I will just wait till I have a new timing belt and head gasket.

i beleive that you are able to re-use the balance shaft kit also. i don't know about how you want to do the arps' though. someone else has to chime in on that good luck

I would replace one at a time, but just snug it up, don't torque it. Then when all of them are on torque down according to pattern. You will have to take the bolts to a shop to get them measured for stretching.

I replaced my stock headbolts with ARP's using the 1-at-a-time method long long time ago, no problems and held 25-30psi just fine...

What part of the BSE kit are you trying to resuse, if you mean the bearings, as long as you dont damage them while taking them out, your fine

The Stubby shaft and block plate are resuable.

Did mine one at a time on stock 167,000 mile motor and its holding great at 25psi with a decent sized screw....do them in order one at a time and torque to 85 lbs/ft.

Just don't over torque the studs and you'll be fine. In fact I'd guess that ARP's torque specs are on a low side because many people believe that over torquing is a good thing. ARP likely designs their studs for such an occasion.

I was just going to torque to regular specs. I'm not gonna be beating on the motor or anything. But just wanted to reuse what I can from the old motor. I'll prob just leave the BS Kit alone. Take out the ARP's, Put them in a box, give the guy the old motor, then put the new motor in and replace one at a time.
