[RESOLVED] Vapor recovery fluid trap/check valve

This is on my gas tank on the driver side by the wheel. Any ideas what it is and what it connects to? My hose has been cut off and I have no clue were it goes.

Don't plug it, that's a oneway valve to keep fuel from entering the the emissions system. If you plug it air cannot escape from the tank when you fill up.

Everything from the valve forward can be removed, but from the the valve to the tank needs to be in contact to prevent the tank from releasing anything other than gas vapors.

what does it connect to on the AWD models

It goes up front to the charcoal canister just like it does on the FWD.
