Just a simple question
has anyone ever got the transfer case leak recall done here in washington state?
I've talked to 2 mitsubishi dealerships in Renton and Puyallup and they say there are no open recalls for my car. so they won't do it. and i talked to mitsubishi motors. and they also said the same thing.
I've read many threads of people successfuly getting it done in different states.
I also read the way you can fix it your self and that there is even a oem kit from mitsubishi that comes with u-joints and all these other stuff to fix it.
but it would be nice for them to take care of it.

Unless your car is showing the symptoms of needing the recall performed, they have no reason to do the recall. If your VIN is showing no open recalls, then one of the previous owners of the car (I assume you aren't the original owner) had the recall performed in the past. Mitsubishi is already hard enough to get open recalls performed, let alone having one done when no signs are showing.

Buying the recall kit is pretty inexpensive, less than $50 if I recall correctly and it isn't hard to install either. I'd just go that route if you are worried about it.
