Ok I have the rewire kit that I intended to use on the stock pump, as I know that's pretty much a must. But got the chance to get a semi used 255,cheap:D, not sure yet if it's an 255HP, will research the part numbers..anyway, the question is!!

After multiple searchs came up with the conclusion that I need a AFPR to run the 255. So with budget in mind, what would be the better way to go, considering that I don't intend buying an AFPR for sometime. I am running stock injectors and rail. Would the rewire kit be a better way to go and get rid of the 255 or is the 255 really an upgrade I should worry about, considering I'm at the limit of my tuning upgrades. I'm not building a monster horsepower car.

If I end up using the 255 and get an AFPR, will the rewire be a waste of time?

Thanks for the helpful replies:pray:

I agree that the 255 is by no means a waste of time, but if you're on a budget I wouldn't bother simply because adding a decent AFPR can easily cost twice as much as the pump. If you can get the pump for a hell of a deal I'd either buy and wait till you have the funds to add an AFPR or try and sell it to make a couple of bucks or maybe you'd get lucky and find someone willing to trade for a 190. Good luck with whatever you choose

Excellent, thanks for the advice. I will do the rewire and hold onto the pump.:D
