Ok, On my 1997 Gst, My headlight fuse keeps blowing in the fuse box under the hood. When I replace the fuse it stays good until I try to turn my headlights on and then it blows and my battery light comes on.

It happened after I did my tranny swap. The only thing I can think of why it would be doing this is because the one plug that is on the far right of the intake manifold that connects to the one wire plug into the harness, broke. It's the Capacitor (Noise Condenser) wire. I'm not sure if that would cause it but trying to get some ideas to try for when I get off work tonight.

Now, if you guys think it is that, can you tell me if I can just ground that connector to the manifold or is that end part that connects to the manifold important? If that makes sense..

Thank Ya'll for your help ahead of time!!! :)

You deffinatly have a short if it's blowing everytime you pass current through the system.

Time to trace wires or do a continuity check.

That capacitor wire must NOT touch anything. Either attach it to the capacitor or tape it up. If it touches ground it will short out the ignition and (hopefully) blow the 30A Ignition sw fuse. Your short is most likely somewhere else. Start by unplugging the headlights to see if fuse still blows. If it does temporarily replace the fuse with a 12v incandescent light bulb (not led) - it should go on bright if there is a short. Then start unplugging head and tail lights to see if light goes off (which will identify shorted circuit).

check the ground wires, also make sure you didn't knock one off. Make sure all the wires are connected nothing open and touching other things.
