[RESOLVED] Head bolt lube??

I already answered this in your other thread.

Do at least three steps in the torque process, 25, 50, 75. I would use 5w30 if using the stock head bolts. If you use arp head studs then use the arp moly lube that comes with them.

What I didn't say in your other thread is you should get a haynes manual it is very helpfull. I use mine for the torque specs if I don't know them.

also keep in mind you should ALWAYS use new head bolts when you put the head on as the factory bolts strech when torqued to specs the first tima and will not be acuracte durring the reinstall. i am not sure if this applies to arp head studs. 5-30 should be good. but in reality and heavier oil would work.

ARPs can be re-used but you should use moly lube on the threads when installing them. :thumb:
